Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, actress, American stage and screen actress and producer. Her most well-known work is as a film actress for her performances as a character in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She has an BA in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue has a reputation as an American actor also known as producer and director. She has worked in both film and television. Her acting career started in the theater. Then she appeared on numerous television shows in independent films, mainstream and film. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing in BET's epic show The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she was praised by critics and received various nominations and awards, including her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. Her debut on stage as Ariel in The Tempest. Apart from the Broadway production Come and Gone, she has also been featured in Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted through her roles as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her role on television in ABC's police drama series High Incident has earned her the praise of her fellow actors.
